Linen props up the cotton here to give it a bit more structure and firmness. The result is a yarn with broader possibilities that range from tops, sweaters and cardigans, to dish cloths, table runers and string bags. Initially a little crispy in the skein, the yarn starts to soften as soon as you work it and continues in this vein as you wash and wear it, so that over time it becomes softer and comfier. And with a jolly fruit salad of colours to choose from, it’s become a real favourite for summer knits.
