Imagine a yarn that’s airy, light and floofy enough to be twice the length and half the weight of a normal ball of chunky. That’s what happens when you create a yarn through a process which blows the fibre instead of spinning them into a twist. Gepard Puno is a blown yarn that has an incredibly fine mesh net at its core which does the work of holding the completely aerated alpaca merino in place, and so doesn’t rely on the need to twist the fibres.

The result is an astonishingly light length-to-weight ratio, enabling to you to knit at a chunky gauge with a ball of yarn that has twice the meterage of a traditionally spun chunky. Add in the super soft alpaca factor and you can see why this yarn is going to be just as much of a treat to knit with as wear.

Puno is suitable for sweaters, and accessories and anything that you need for added warmth through the winter.

As with all Gepard yarns, all materials used are ecotex 100 certified and the animal fibre is guaranteed to be mulesing free.
